Hands-On Assignment 2

I think media is a way for people to express their thoughts, ideas, and how they are feeling. It can also be a place where you inform people about important (or even non-important) events that are going on around you. Media can be physical like a newspaper, or it can be electronic. Many electronic medias are called "Social Medias." Social Media is a platform where people can interact with each other. To me, social networking is a place where you are supposed to be professional, whereas social media is more personal. Some popular social networking sites are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even Tinder.


I use Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn and Whatsapp. Gmail, Outlook, and LinkedIn are used more professionally. I use Gmail and LinkedIn to send resumes and apply for jobs. These apps don't use much of my time. But in total, I use both of them for almost one hour weekly. Outlook is where my USF email is, so I'm using that more frequently. I use outlook for around 30 minutes everyday. On Outlook, I am getting information on what is happenig at school, and events that will happen as well. I also get updates for classes that I take. Whatsapp is one of the social networking sites that I use for personal use. I use whatsapp to communicate with friends and family. According to my phones statistics, I use Whatsapp for an average of 33 minutes a day. Apps like YouTube, Pinterest, and Reddit are used alot more frequently for me. I don't use Pinterest or reddit everyday, but when I do, it's usually for around an hour. YouTube, is my most used social media app. On average, I use it for around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

I think that using social media is a great way for people to communicate with each other, especially if they are faraway or aren't able to meet with eachother often. I personally aren't able meet my friends too often, so I update them through text instead. I think that it is a good way for people to keep relationships. or even make them stronger
