Assignment 3: Time Diary

The social media app that I use the most is probably YouTube. YouTube is a great way a person can watch videos. Videos on YouTube can be used to entertain, teach, inform, or share with your audience. The way YouTube works is that you are supposed tolike or dislike videos so that you can get recommended videos suited to your own personal taste. You can also comment, and subscribe to YouTube channels so that you can be updated frequently. YouTube can be used almost anywhere. You can use YouTube on your phone, computer, or even T.V. A new feature YouTube has created is called YouTube Shorts, which are short, vertical videos that get recommended to you. You swipe up to go to the next video, and you can double tap to like. It is similar to TikTok. 

The data that I have collected is from February 18 to 21. I mainly use YouTube during the nighttime, which is my free time. I also use it primarily on my phone because I have it with me at all times and its really easy access. In the graph, I used YouTube for quite sometimes on the 18th (a Saturday), which was a day I didn't have much work to complete. I also checked my time of use during this entire month and noticed that it was lower around the second and third week of February, which was the time I had many exams and assignments due.This makes sense since I was busy studying for exams during that time. 

While I am on YouTube, I don't comment. I mainly just like the video and share it with friends and family. Sometimes I'll send it to them and then show them in person as well. There is no direct messaging built in YouTube, so you have to share through external apps.
